Financing FAQ

Everything about the money side.

Rates, documents, guarantees, payoffs and what happens if a lot moves slower than you planned. Fellow Capital direct: (888) 555-0143.

How fast is approval, really?

One business day is our standard and we hit it on the large majority of files. Applications submitted before noon Eastern with complete bank statements are frequently decided the same afternoon. Enterprise files over $1.5 million take longer — typically three to five days — because they involve a site visit or a portfolio review.

Does applying hurt my credit?

No. The application triggers a soft inquiry only, which doesn't affect your score and isn't visible to other lenders. We run a hard pull only at funding on your first financed purchase, and only with your explicit consent at that point.

What documents do you need?

For lines up to $250,000: the two-page application, three months of business bank statements, your EIN and resale certificate, and a driver's licence for each owner holding 20% or more. Above $250,000 we add two years of business tax returns and a current accounts-receivable aging if you carry receivables. No business plan, no projections, no pitch deck.

Do you require a personal guarantee?

Yes, on every line, from each owner holding 20% or more. This isn't negotiable at any size. We're lending against inventory that can move, and the guarantee is what makes light documentation and one-day decisions possible.

What if my credit isn't perfect?

Credit is one input among several, not a gate. We weigh sector experience, sell-through history, deposit size and the collateral itself at least as heavily. We approve plenty of files that banks decline. What we can't get past is an open bankruptcy, unresolved tax liens or a pattern of defaults on inventory financing specifically.

Is there a prepayment penalty?

Never, on any program. Pay it off in three weeks on a twelve-month line and you owe only the interest accrued through that date. We'd rather have you back on the floor buying the next lot than sitting on a balance out of inertia.

Can I finance a lot I'm buying somewhere else?

Not currently. Fellow Capital finances purchases from the Fellow USA floor only. We're able to underwrite quickly and lightly precisely because we bought, graded and priced the collateral ourselves — we can't extend that to inventory we've never seen.

When does inventory release?

On most lots, in full at funding. On larger positions — generally above $750,000 — we release in tranches against paydown, which is stated in your agreement before you sign. Fleet program units release individually as each unit is paid out, so you can sell and clear vehicles without touching the rest of the line.

What happens if a lot sells slower than I expected?

Call us before the payment is late, not after. We restructure regularly — extending term, moving to interest-only for a period, or taking back unsold units at a negotiated value. None of that is unusual and none of it damages your standing with us. What damages your standing is going quiet.

How do line increases work?

Automatically after two completed deals with clean payment history. There's no application, no fee and no hard pull. Most active accounts see their limit roughly double inside the first year. You can also request a review at any time if a specific deal needs more room.

Do you file a UCC?

Yes, a UCC-1 against the financed inventory, filed at funding and terminated within five business days of payoff. It's specific to the inventory financed, not a blanket lien on your business, unless you've asked for an Enterprise structure where a broader filing is part of the negotiated terms.

Are rates fixed?

Fixed for the life of each purchase. The rate quoted when you select your structure is the rate on that transaction, regardless of what happens to benchmark rates afterwards. Each new purchase is priced at the terms available then.

All financing is subject to underwriting approval. Rates, terms and availability vary by applicant and are not guaranteed. Nothing on this page is an offer or a commitment to lend. See disclosures.
